The Kingston Plantation is the crown jewel of the Myrtle Beach and is accessable only by passing by a guard house or walking the beach. This privacy really helps to slow down the flow of traffic and the pace of things so you feel more like you are staying in a residential neighborhood than in an over-crowded tourist destination. Yet you are just minutes away by car from excellent dining, night-life and decent entertainment once you decide it's time to venture out for excitement. There is no shortage of fine dining nearby. With over 30 years of personal experience going to Myrtle Beach, I think the condos in Margate are the most luxurious accommodations around. Once you get a taste of Margate, you will never settle for the hotel again. This was our 3rd or 4th time staying at Margate and we have stayed at Brighton and the Hamptons so are able to compare. The Sleatter's 2203 condo was extremely comfortable, convenient and had all the amenities of our home but with the added advantage of having the ocean, beach and several swimming pools right in our "backyard'. The view is nothing short of spectacular yet the entire experience is well balanced with the tranquility that comes along with just sitting on the balcony with a frozen cocktail and listening to the waves roll in. Blender and ice were provided, just bring your own beverage! The three bedroom layout and common areas were all tastefully decorated, roomy and suited my family's needs wonderfully. Imagine waking up in the morning to a beautiful view of the sunrise over the Atlantic right outside your window. That's what I did, imagine it, because I slept late eveyday listening to the ocean while sleeping on a very comfortable bed. Then it was time for breakfast, whether we made something in the fully-appointed kitchen or a quick run to Dino's House of Pancakes. Trips to the beach itself were super simple requiring only a quick elevator ride to the lobby and a short walk to private beach chairs and umbrellas that awaited us, reserved in advance for guests of the Sleater's. Nice touch which saved us a fair chunk of change and added convenience. Wish I had room to say more abou how much we enjoyed staying at 2203 but a VERY important feature of booking through Prista is that, after doing the math, we paid less than half what our vacation rental would have cost booking through the hotel. Financially we were able to turn a 4 night beach budget into a full week and lived like royalty
